The Green Magic Wand- Aloe Vera

Aloe vera very rightly was called 'Wand of the Heaven' by the native Americans. Ancient Greeks used this remarkable succulent plant for treating various ailments. Aloe vera is a rich source of vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, E, Folic acid. It is a rich source of several minerals like calcium, magnesium, selenium, sodium, iron , potassium, copper, manganese, zinc, chromium etc. It is also high in several amino and fatty acids. Aloe vera has been used for therapeutic purposes since ancient times. Aloe vera gel can be eaten as well as applied as a beauty pack.

A few years back I came to know how great this plant is. The best part about this plant is that it can grow easily and does not require much care. Just take a aloe vera leaf and put in a pot. It grows very quickly and very soon your pot would be filled with several succulent aloe leaves which can be plucked and consumed or applied on skin.

My aloe vera magical potion is mentioned below:

Aloe vera juice

Peel out the outer layer of an aloe vera leaf and scrape out the gel from the leaf. Blend the gel with orange juice in a juicer till it gets a smoothie appearance and chill it in the fridge. Thus our healthy aloe vera juice is ready to serve.

Aloe Mocktail

Make a mocktail by mixing aloe vera pulp with orange juice, apple juice, pineapple juice and carrot juice.

Aloe vera face pack

Mix the aloe vera gel with your normal face pack and apply it on your face once a week. It gives a very smooth appearance to the skin and its antibacterial, anti fungal property prevents pimples. It helps in cleansing

A few health benefits of Aloe vera are mentioned below:

It helps in weight control
It is a very good antibacterial and anti fungal agent
